Hello all,

I would like to apologize in advance. This post is pretty descriptive. I'm just trying to figure this out asap.

I'm a 24 year old male. I've been sexually active since I was 17. I've unfortunately had unprotected intercourse in 2 of my serious relationships. I've had these pimple-looking sores on my scrotum for over a year.. They start off small, and slowly get larger. They are underneath the skin, look white, and have a lot of pressure(feels like a small pebble in the sore). They itch, I scratch, and then the sore opens slightly, and oozes out clear liqiud. The sore does scab lightly, but I don't feel pain at all.
I know I probably shouldn't do this, but I pop them to stop the itching. The outside of the sore almost seems like a hard shell.. Once I penetrate the sore, a very white substance comes out. It's not a liquid.. More like what a black head looks like when you pop it.

-My dilemma: I keep searching/looking at photos to see what it might be, and I can't narrow it down. Herpes looks like a blister, and this sore is actually underneath the skin. Are there different forms of herpes?
-One MORE dilemma: I'm in a relationship. We use protection every time have intercourse.. If this is Herpes,if I ever had a breakout, could she be at risk because it's on my scrotum and not covered? Any advice you can shoot my way, please do so.. I can't sleep because it's racking my brain! /:

-Incu

It doesn't sound like herpes but I wouldn't rule it out without testing. There are a countless number of skin problems that it could be and most likely isn't anything that serious. I would stop in and get it looked at. It will ease your mind and if it is something serious you could catch it early and that's important.

I appreciate the council/ advice. Just returned from the doctor today. It is not Herpes, but it is Warts. He froze them immediately. I also have Genital Cysts, which are harmless and normal. The lady was surprisingly understanding.. For once, the problems worked themselves out.

To anyone sexually active, and at any age:
-Get tested before and after every relationship, go to a professional.. Only way to ease your worries. Better safe than warted , hehehe

Thanks for letting us know the results. And your right. You should always get tested before and after relationships. In fact the CDC recommends yearly testing for STDs.

There are a many epidermis issues that it could be and most likely isn't anything that serious. I would quit in and get it checked out. It will dispell this myth and if it is something serious you could get it beginning and that's essential.
