Today I was diagnosed with Trich and Clap. I've had at least 3 swabs, plus multiple blood and urine test for STD and whatever else. My assumption is they should have been complete labs because I'm on my second child in a year. Last year, during my first pregnancy I was diagnosed with Vaginosis got meds and it went away until my recent pregnancy. I'm almost in my 6th month and this time (after a swab) I was diagnosed with them both (recap...this is not my 1st swab within a year). The DR states the Clap could be old (as in years) and it's hard to diagnose how long I've had Trich.
I can't believe with all the testing I've had, that I've had either for years and it's never come up. Could my past tests been misdiagnosed? Should I get a 2nd opinion?

Well if throughout the years of different testing if they never tested for chlamydia, which they often don't unless your asking for it or they believe you may be at risk, you very well may have been carrying it unknowingly.

It is actually quite common to hear people that have gone through similar issues but the truth is there is no way to tell.
