i had protected intercourse someone about five days ago. I had slight itching the very next day which went away. I am now having slight discomfort in pubic area maybe a slight burning sensation any ideas anyway. I m new to this and am very scared right now

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse you should automatically get tested. The itching is probably just from the friction but could be from some kind of a bacterial infection. The pain could be a couple of things. I would get down to a clinic and tell them everything you can and answer there questions truthfully and fully to make sure that you get tested properly. Also ask them if you should come back again because of an incubation period with some STDs.

Don't be scared. I know your entering the unknown with all this, but there is a good chance you could be allergic to the spermicide on the condom. or the material its made of. If you do have a disease, judging from your symptoms, its just as easy to treat as strep throat. Nothing permanent. If it doesn't go away soon, you can seek out a free or low income std clinic in your area that will keep things between you and a doctor. I wish you all the best.
