An STD Help Community

hello everyone.

im here out of curiosity for the truth and a desire to squash misinformation and social stigma and public panic. i want to learn what i can and help shed light on the truth for others. i feel that while having an std certainly wouldnt be ideal or desireable , we need as a society to stop treating people with them like its the plague. because simply put...so many people will have contracted at least one in thier lifetimes. also i want to help spread the truth about just how effective condoms really are. im definitely not sayin dont use them cuz they dont help , im just sayin too many people think they are 100 percent effectivew and they arent. not by a longshot. i do not think it is fair or right that so many people are afraid and terrified to go get a simple std test. but what is it they fear most? i know for me it isnt the std so much as the other people who would treat me horribly if i was to find out i had one and they knew about it or if i had to tell my partner. and the possibility of the rest of my life spent loveless and sexless and alone. we need to fix this.

sorry , that was a mouthful for an introduction wasnt it...lol
