Well nothing wrong with being a little paranoid. Get the tests done and then at least you will know. I'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt to the doctor though as long as you told him/her you were worried about a possible infection.
Either way I'm glad that your getting tested and I hope it turns out for the best. If possible come back and let everyone know what happened.
