Sorry but I am not making a joke, there is a chance i think i may have herpes but i wont know until i go for the test on friday. IF i do have herpes, can i pass it to my dogs? Will it hurt them, or do anything bad to them?

I love my two dogs so much and i share food, let them lick my face etc but i have been avoiding that since I came back.

Also, does Herpes Shorten your life at all?

Herpes doesnt shorten your life. It can however make you more susepticle to other diseases such as HIV. As for your dogs they should be just fine.

Dogs will be just fine. Herpes won't shorten your life. Well, of course it can lead to HIV or worse, HIV if you just let it. Herpes is a curable disease. So, don't worry about it much. You are not alone facing this problem. There are thousands and millions of people living with it. I'm sure you're gonna be fine. :D

To be clear it won't lead to HIV but makes transmission "easier". When you have open sores studies have shown that it increases your chance of infection when in contact with the virus.

You will need to be exposed to HIV for any chance at all of becoming infected.
