So, I'm embarrassed and scared right now. I'm 20 and i just had intercourse on Christmas Eve for the first time, I know you can get STDs the first time you have intercourse, but i didn't think it could really happen to me. For a few days now, my... area has been itching and burning like mad. at first i thought it was a yeast infection, and tried to drown it out by drinking water- to no avail. but, while shaving, i noticed a small, strange looking bump. I tried to pop it, like a zit, but it didn't budge, and it hurt horribly, so i tried again and i think i hurt it worse, because i pinched it so hard, blood came out. We DID use a condom, and i know there not 100% fool proof, but ours didn't brake, so, it can't be an STD, right?

While condoms don't protect 100% of the time they are quite effective. Some STDs can be transmitted even with a condom such as herpes or HPV. You could just be having a reaction to the condom as you have never used one before and there for don't know how your body would react to the latex.

Still I always say to get looked at because not only could it be harmful to your health the simple fact of not knowing could drive you crazy.
